Day 1– September 3

Depart From The US en route to Italy!!

Day 2 – September 4: Naples

  • Morning arrival at Naples Airport where we will meet our tour escort and driver
  • Accommodation at your hotel in Sorrento
  • Welcome Cocktail - Dinner and Overnight

Day 3 – September 5: Pompei & Naples

  • After breakfast we travel to Naples. Naples is a city in Southern Italy, situated on the country’s west coast by the Gulf of Naples. Lying between two notable volcanic regions, Mount Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields, it is the capital of the region of Campania and of the province of Naples. Naples is known internationally for its history, art, architecture, music, and gastronomy, and has played an important political and cultural role both within and beyond the Italian peninsula throughout its 2,800 year existence.

  • Visit Pompeii
    Proceed to Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arriving in Pompeii, visit with guide the ruins of this best preserved Roman city, including the Temples of Apollo, Jupiter and the Forum (entrance fees included). Pompei was settled as early as the 8th century BC and by 79 AD it was a thriving commercial center with a population of 20,000. Vesuvius erupted and buried the city under a blanket of ash six metres deep. Over the centuries Pompeii was forgotten but in 1748 excavations were started and since 1911 all finds of furnishings and household utensils have been left where they were found, giving a fascinating insight into everyday life in 79AD.

Day 4 – September 6: Capri

  • Today is an excellent time to visit the Isle of Capri if you haven’t seen it before. Visit Capri with a private English Speaking guide. Capri is famous for its natural characteristic, covered by colorful flowers and surrounded by the sea! Capri is also famous for its streets, boutiques, bars, cafes: the Piazzetta is the centre of this other face of Capri and the meeting point of a lot of tourists.

Day 5 – September 7: Day at leisure

  • Breakfast in the Hotel
  • Day will be at leisure for individual visits and optional heritage research

Day 6 – September 8: Paestum and mozzarella tasting

  • Breakfast in the Hotel
  • Today you will enjoy a full day tour to Paestum
    Visit the excavations with a private English speaking guide. Paestum is situated close to the Tyrrhenian coast on the road linking Acropoli and Battipaglia. Its population is mainly located in the quarters surrounding the ancient Greco-Roman ruins, as Santa Venere.
  • In Paestum you will also experience a mozzarella tasting in a typical farm with a light lunch with typical products.

Day 7 – September 9: Sorrento - Rome

  • Breakfast in the Hotel
  • After breakfast we will leave for Rome

Day 8 – September 10: Rome

  • Breakfast in the Hotel
  • This morning transfer to Vatican City to attend the Papal Audience
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a guided visit of the Vatican Museums. You will admire the modern entrance built for the Jubilee 2000, the Galeries of the Chandeliers, of the Tapestries and of the Geographical Maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. We will then stop to admire the Sistine Chapel frescoed by Michelangelo to end up in the Ancient Vatican Library.

Day 9 – September 11: Rome

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • In the morning meet your local guide and enjoy a morning walking tour of the Monumental Rome Rome is an unrepeatable city and is so-called Eternal for having alternated sumptuous ages with others of decadence and it is always reviving as it gathers treasures and memories with the charm of its incomparable landscape.
  • Afternoon guided tour of Ancient Rome:
    Visit with a private English speaking guide the Coliseum, surrounded by impressive monuments such as the ruins of the Arch of Constantine the Great. You will also pass by the Forum and the Palatine Hill, centre of Ancient Rome.
  • In the evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner
  • Overnight in Rome

Day 10 – September 10: Arrivederci

After breakfast, transfer to Rome Fiumicino Airport for the return flight to U.S.A.
