Nothing has captured imaginations like the Leaning Tower, the most recognizable structure the world... But there's more to this little city. See the Cathedral where Galileo?s Lamp and chandelier were used to formulate the laws of the pendulum. And the Baptistery - where the echo has enthralled visitors for years!
The newly stablized tower is an engineering marvel

Baptistery
The bulbous dome of the Baptistery measures 55m high and 107m wide, creating an acoustic wonder; an unamplified choir can be heard 20km away. Nicola Pisano built the pulpit, demonstrating some of the best of the Renaissance art period.
Leaning Tower
Built in 1173 by Bonnano Pisano, slowly shifting soils have given the infamous Leaning Tower of Pisa its tilt. While every year it shifts another 1-2mm, the structure has been girded with steel cables to try to halt its impending collapse. For safety reasons, it has also been closed to the public; however, a view from outside is just as amazing.
