DAY 4 VATICAN » SISTINE CHAPEL » ST. PETERS BASILICA MONDAY: Explore Vatican City with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Spend the rest of the day exploring Rome and its holiday atmosphere at your own pace (Please note that the visit of St. Peter’s Basilica is subject to availability based on the events planned by the Pope.) DAY 5 • ROME » GUBBIO » FREE TIME DINNER IN HOTEL » CHRISTMAS TREE TUESDAY: Travel to the beautifully preserved medieval town of Gubbio, home to the world’s largest Christmas tree display. Enjoy free time before dinner and an evening visit to see the spectacular illuminated tree. DAY 6 GUBBIO » WINE TASTING WITH LUNCH WEDNESDAY: Visit a renowned Umbrian winery for a tasting of regional wines paired with a delicious local lunch. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore Gubbio. DAY 7 GUBBIO » AREZZO » CITY SIGHTSEEING & CHRISTMAS MARKET » FLORENCE THURSDAY: Visit Arezzo’s famous Tyrolean-style Christmas Market, one of Italy’s largest holiday markets, before continuing to Florence, and enjoy an evening at leisure. DAY 8 • FLORENCE CITY SIGHTSEEING, INCLUDING THE DAVID FRIDAY: Discover Florence on a guided walking tour featuring the Duomo, Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, and Michelangelo’s magnificent David at the Accademia Gallery.
