Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday Oct 2 Depart the U.S. for Milan

Depart on your overnight flight to Milan.

Day 2 - Sun Oct. 3 – Arrive in Milan - Dinner

Arrive in Milan airport, meet your assistant for the transfer to the Milan hotel.

This evening, enjoy a delicious Milanese dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 - Monday Oct. 4 – Morning City tour - Free afternoon

This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Milan, where you’ll visit the Piazza del Duomo, home to the stunning Milan Cathedral. Take a stroll through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - the world's very first shopping mall - and continue to the legendary La Scala Opera House.

The afternoon is yours, at leisure to explore on your own, see Da Vinci’s The Last Supper (on your own) or just relax.

Day 4 - Tuesday Oct 5 - Milan to Modena

Upon arrival in Modena, check in to the hotel. Then you’ll enjoy a walking tour to explore the historic center, including the Ducal Palace, Piazza Grande, and the Ghirlandina Tower, followed by tastings at Mercato Albinelli.

Day 5 – Wednesday Oct 6 – Lambrusco and Balsamic Vinegar tour and Tasting

Today, you’ll discover the secrets of Parmigiano Reggiano. This cheese is produced only once a day in the early morning. You get to see the cheese makers at work — an unforgettable experience!

Then, continue with a visit to one of the most important Lambrusco wine producers, where you can appreciate all the characteristics and the real taste of this wine. Then you enjoy a lunch full of aromas and flavors of this land in the heart of Modena, a city with an important architectural heritage. After lunch, there will be time for a walk in the city center.

This afternoon, visit a producer of Balsamic vinegar, knows as the “black gold of Modena,” and you’ll get to taste this delicious condiment known worldwide.

Day 6 – Thursday Oct 7 – Cooking Class

Cooking class in an Agriturismo near the Parma countryside. You will learn how to make pasta and enjoy what you have prepared for lunch. Emilia Romagna is the main region in Italy where pasta is still homemade.

Day 7 - Friday Oct 8 - Reggio Emilia Food Tour

Enjoy this guided culinary experience through the heart of Emilia-Romagna, showcasing the region's rich gastronomic traditions. Tastings of local specialties such as Parmigiano Reggiano, traditional balsamic vinegar, fresh pasta, cured meats, and regional wines while visiting markets, artisan producers, and family-run eateries. Along the way, expert guides share the history, culture, and craftsmanship behind Reggio Emilia's world-renowned cuisine.

Day 8 - Saturday Oct 9 - Travel to Verona – Afternoon Cooking Class

After checking in to the hotel, enjoy the day to explore independently. 

This afternoon’s experience is a culinary adventure in Verona, where you’ll learn to prepare a traditional Risotto all’Amarone and the famous tiramisu. 

Day 9 - Sunday Oct 10 - Padua Tour

Opportunity for Mass for those who may enjoy that.  Then enjoy a walking tour of Padua, where you’ll see some of the most famous squares of the city, including Piazza delle Erbe, della Frutta and della Signoria, which all overlook several prominent and majestic buildings. You’ll visit one of the most masterful examples of art from the 14th century at the Scrovegni Chapel. Later, see Palazzo della Ragione, a medieval market hall, and the Cathedral of Padua, which was first erected in the 4th century and finally the Basilica of St Anthony of Padua. 

Day 10 - Monday Oct 11 - Full Day Wine Tour – Valpolicella area

A full day tour where you will visit a couple of wineries and taste different local wines, enjoying a traditional lunch followed by an olive oil and also a grappa tasting

Day 11 - Tuesday Oct 12 – Free Day or Optional Full Day tour to Venice

This day is open for those to explore on their own in the city of Verona. 

Or if you prefer, join an optional full day tour to Venice.

Board a high-speed train from Verona to Venice and meet your local guide for a full-day tour of the city’s highlights. Wander through charming streets, admire the canals, gondoliers, and the iconic Rialto Bridge, then make your way to the magnificent Piazza San Marco. Enjoy a traditional gondola ride through Venice’s canals before discovering the city’s rich history, including the Bridge of Sighs, the former prisons, and fascinating stories of Venice’s past.
